Gold Book FAQ
Gold Book Frequently Asked Questions
Who can enter the Gold Book Awards competition?
ADP's annual competition is open to all its Publisher members that believe their company's directory products and marketing concepts are among the best the Yellow Pages industry had to offer in the past year. Association Publishers can submit one entry in each category in both the Directory and the Marketing and Promotion Divisions. To increase their chances of being named Publisher of the Year, members are encouraged to submit an entry in each category.
How does my company decide which categories to enter?
Publisher members need to assess each Division's categories to determine which ones their company should enter. There are nine categories in the Directory Division and 10 in the Marketing and Promotion Division. Both Divisions' Criteria for Judging, Entry Requirements and Electronic Submission Information can be viewed by clicking on the CATEGORIES tab.
How much does it cost to enter the Competition and when are my entry submissions due?
Each Gold Book Award entry costs $30 and the Entry Description Form and payment must be made by January 31, 2017.
How do I submit my entries?
When you have decided which categories to enter and assembled your entry materials, click here to register, make your payment, fill out the Entry Description Form and upload your materials. You will need your company’s ADP member username and password to enter.
How do the Publisher members vote on the Gold Book entries?
Publisher members vote electronically for the Marketing and Promotion Division entries on ADP's website and onsite at the Convention hotel for the Directory Division entries during the Annual Convention.
Who are the judges for the Gold Book Awards?
There are three esteemed judges who are veterans of the Yellow Pages industry. They are Joel Davis, a long-time consultant to the Yellow Pages industry and a professor in the School of Journalism & Media Studies at San Diego State University, Dr. Dennis Fromholzer, President of CRM Associates, one of the world's leading researcher, expert and speaker on Yellow Pages value, and Larry Small, former Director of Research at the Yellow Pages Association where he oversaw all research activities.
How will the Gold Book Award winners be announced?
Winners will be announced at the Gold Book Awards Celebration, a fun-filled evening and a highlight of the Annual Convention. Winners receive a Gold Book Award acrylic plaque and digital image to be used to promote their prestigious win in their communities.
